I marked a fish near the rock straight below me…I cast and drop the fly to 4 ft above its position by stopping the rod and lowering the cast with the fly to settle on the surface..Then when the fly is agead of over over the trout, lift your rod and pull in line, wiggling the rod tip to dance the fly across the surface…
